Save an Animal
Adopting a Pet
Help us create a better future for one dog by adopting or fostering! We know we cannot change the world for all dogs, but we can change the world for one with your help. Our dogs come from some of the poorest counties in our neighboring states where there are no county facilities. Without rescues willing to pull from that area, these dogs would be euthanized. Each of our dogs have worked with one of our in-house animal behaviorists on leash training and basic manners. Some are even graduates of the Happy Hounds Prison Dog training program!
Making a Donation
Please consider making a tax-deductible donation so that we can continue this vital and life-saving program. Your generous donations allow us to care for and provide medical for, train, and place our dogs with suitable homes and families. Your donation doesn’t just give a dog a new lease on life, it does the same for the warrior or family who receives our canine. Your monetary donation can be made as a one-time, monthly, or annual donation. We also have other ways to donate, through gifts of food, blankets, beds, and more!

Our Services
Rescuing Pets
Many of our dogs come from Webster County, WV, one of the poorest counties in the state. There is no official animal control facility for the county, so we pull as many of our rescues from there as possible.
Animal Training
Training is provided through the Happy Hounds Prison Dog Program located at the Roxbury Correctional Facility in Hagerstown and soon to be at our coming facility at The Foxie G Foundation!
Finding Pets a Home
We adopt our dogs to individuals and families as both therapy dogs and through regular pet adoptions.
Spay & Nuter
All our dogs are provided with complimentary spay and neutering.
What Drives Us
Our Mission
Our mission is to protect and advocate for companion dogs in need, and to build a humane community that promotes compassion and seeks to strengthen the human-animal bond while also providing a path for re-entry to the workforce for both veterans and recently incarcerated individuals.
